Examine some of the texts your students need to read, write, speak, or listen to. To build up a picture of their complexity and what this complexity consists of, use the tools you have used already:

  • Rewrite sentences by breaking them up or by joining them.
  • Analyse the groups of words in a sentence and their relationships.
